· In the Summer of 2008, Congress finally put a healthcare program in place to help first responders that included federal employees. The program is administered by CDC and run by a contractor (LHI),

 

· I was finally able to see a pulmonologist in August 2009, and was preliminarily diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. The Doctor sent me for several tests including a PFT and CT scans. The results showed that I do not have fibrosis, however, the tests showed that I suffer from interstitial lung disease.
